A new device is arrived in the LAB: a NIRSport2 system for the functional near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS). This device employs near-infrared light to estimate brain activity from variations of hemodynamic activity occurring in the cerebral cortex. Alongside EEG, fNIRS is one of the most common non-invasive techniques which can be used in portable contexts.
